As a Solution Focused Therapist I believe you’re equipped to face the challenges in your life. My aim is at empowering you to take action. What’s most important is to identify what strategies you’re more likely to stick to so you can see the change you want in your life. Despite what we keep being told, there are no simple recipes everyone should follow to solve their predicaments. What works for one person might not work for another. The therapeutic space is therefore tailored for you, based on your own knowledge, resources and experiences.
Solution Focused Therapy in a Nutshell.
-
A typical expectation of therapy is that we spend endless hours going through details of our life with a magnifying glass and constantly describe our discomfort with repeated questions like “how did that make you feel?”. Solution Focused therapists appreciate that this is valuable and provides us with some much needed relief. However, we spend most of the time during consultation finding ways that lead us forward. Instead of diagnosing and providing a “one size fits all” treatment, we co-create the type of life you want to be leading from here on out.

I combine Solution Focused and Brief Therapy with Narrative practices and trance-less hypnosis. What this all means is that, together, we will work to identify your thought and behavioral patterns to see what works in your life so you can keep doing that and what doesn’t work so you can change that. Finally we work towards defining what growth or development you would like to see.
At the heart of my work is the belief that people can change and deserve a better life.

Brief therapist do their best to keep the number of sessions low. Most of the transformation that we consider therapeutic happens outside of consultation hours. As such, brief therapy does its best to minimize the amount of hours spent sitting and talking. A good way to think of it is that it takes as few sessions as possible but as many as necessary. On average it takes 6 sessions to see improvement and 10 sessions to finish therapy.

To keep it concise if something has been bothering you for at least a few months I can help. But to be more explicit I’ve so far mostly dealt with:
-Anxiety
-Depression
-Compulsive behaviors (substances or porn, for example)
-Stress (the kind that becomes unmanageable)
-Burnout
-Self-esteem
-Relationship issues (family, social, couples)
-Phobias
Worst case scenario I believe I can help you find the help you need.
